A Song at Twilight

Giles Havergal in Death in Venice

A Song at Twilight

Written by Noel Coward

Reading - One Night Only!
Tuesday, September 12 at 8 pm.

Noel Coward’s heart-breaking final play is given a reading at The Rhino, starring Giles Havergal in Coward’s most autobiographical role.

Hugo Latymer is a world famous writer who has clawed his way to the top, leaving much bitterness in his wake. Carlotta is a former lover who knows secrets of his past which will make for a scathing memoir. Havergal (Scrooge in ACT’s A Christmas Carol) joins Rhino regulars Libby O’Connell (Philanderer, Medea: The Musical, Beautiful Child) and Enrique Vallejo (Bent and Medea), and Rhino newcomer Trish Tillman (What the Butler Saw) in this comedy-drama about fame, infamy and the ever presence of the past. A Song at Twilight is Coward’s only openly gay text.

What the Butler Saw

By Joe Orton

September 1 - 24, 2006 October 7, 2006

Joe Orton’s raucous sex farce classic makes its Rhino debut. "Hilarious, outrageous... It dazzles!” N.Y. Times.

See what’s cooking in one horny hospital as the patients and doctors mix up partners, clothing and sexes. Classic comedy has never been this raunchy or this much fun.
